Swarovski Changes, Reorganizes & Renames Its Product Lines

Swarovski, in its infinite wisdom, has gone and done it again! Changed all its Product Categories!
If you are a CFC Member, you already know that we were FIRST to bring this News to our CFC Members last October, and Reorganized our CFC Photo Galleries for 2013 to reflect Swarovski’s Change in their Product Lines at that time.

The famous trademarked Silver Crystal product line is Gone, now renamed “Crystal Nature”.   Could this reflect the change in Swarovski’s new ‘Advanced Crystal’ formula  ? where the product is now being manufactured practically lead-free? This has been a raging subject on our CFC website among collectors. Most of them are not happy about this critical change.  Can it now even be considered ‘crystal’ ? (See our previous article)

The Paradise line is now ‘Mother Nature‘.
The Soulmates products are now ‘Contemporary Nature.’

The entire Lovlots line, Hello Kitty, the Mo’s, Emoti’s, Bo Bears & Happy Ducks now belong to the ‘Characters’ product line. Two additional lines have been added to this lot in 2013: the Lovlots Dinosaurs and Erika and Elliot.

A ‘Symbols‘ (no, it’s not related to the previous products with this product name) line has been created to include:

  • Universal Symbols (formerly Crystal Moments/Memories)
  • Seasonal Symbols (formerly Crystal Seasons)
  • Asian Symbols for the Zodiacs

Supposedly, the NLE’s and the Crystal Myriad lines are now called “Swarovski Art.”

So we now have a new ‘crystal formula’ for the manufacturing process, being referred to by many collectors as ‘just glass’, and new product lines too!

Breaking Swarovski NEWS: NEW Swarovski Product ‘Categories’


AGAIN, in 2013, Swarovski has decided, in its infinite wisdom,

to change the Categories for its Crystal Collectibles line of products.

One of the biggest changes: Formerly, the ‘Lovlots’,  will now be known as ‘Characters’.
This line will now include the Bo Bears, two new categories, “Dinosaurs” and “Erika & Eliot”, the Happy Ducks, Kris Bear, and even the Limited Edition Mo’s.

The ‘Soulmates’ product line will now be featured in the ‘Contemporary Nature’ category, and a new category – Brilliant Butterflies also will be categorized here.

The beloved ‘Silver Crystal’ products have now been relegated to the ‘Crystal Nature’ category, and the Paradise Collection will now be referenced under the ‘Mother Nature’ category.

‘Hello Kitty’ will now be known as ‘Sanrio – Hello Kitty’, and Crystal Seasons renamed ‘Seasonal Symbols’.

The Crystal Memories / Crystal Moments is now ‘Universal Symbols’ with a new category called ‘With Love’.

Crystal Fanatics have not reacted very favorably to these changes overall.

Swarovski 2012 Valentines


Figurines have always been a timeless gift idea. This year’s Valentine issues from Swarovski are no exception.

Kris Bear

Only for You Kris Bear – a charming bear made entirely of clear, faceted crystal wearing a pink bow that coordinates with a large pink heart she holds in her arms.

First Kiss Kris Bears – equally romantic, First Kiss brings together two bears in clear faceted crystal. He is all decked out with a black bow tie and she wears a pink colored necklace with a crystal flower on it.

Now, part of the Swarovski Lovlots product line.

Hearts

The heart also becomes a faceted two-tone figurine from the Crystal Moments product line.

The Love Heart – Kakadu Red Large – red and pink halves blend in harmony. One side sparkles in Kakadu Satin crystal while the other glistens in Kakadu red crystal.

Love Heart, Light Siam, Small
The universal symbol of love, combines two harmonious crystal colors into one heart. Light Siam Satin crystal is featured on one half, while the other sparkles in Light Siam crystal.

Love Heart Red Siam, Medium
Again, featured in two harmonious colors: Kadadu red crystal on one side while the other half features  Light Siam (red) Crystal.

Silver Shade Love Heart
Features laser heart shaped engravings in Silver Shade achieving a very dramatic 3-D effect.  The heart glistens in both clear crystal and the Silver shade color.
