Swarovski Train Set on Wooden Train Track

In the Silver Crystal product line, 6 train cars made up the ‘Crystal Locomotion’ set, now retired. Each were available to purchase separately & designed by Gabrielle Stamey. They consisted of the following:

  • Locomotive issued from 1988-2003
  • Tender Car 1988-2003
  • Wagon Carriage 1988-2003 w/variations
  • Petrol Wagon 1990-2002
  • Tipping Wagon 1990 -2003
  • Tank Wagon 1988-2003

They were also available in the marketplace as a 3 piece train set boxed together with the Locomotive, Tender, & Wagon Carriage and sold for $305. Another set of 4, with the petrol wagon added, sold for $400. Each 3 and 4 piece set came packaged in a single container.

Train Tracks for the Trains were also issued in Wood, as well as a rectangular and octagonal mirrored display with the train tracks imprinted on it.

A Mini Train, issued in 1995, & packaged together, is a set of 4 small train cars & includes a round mirror with a train track painted on it. Also designed by Gabriele Stamey, it is 3 1/4 inches long & retired in the US in 2004, and Globally Retired in 2006. The set retailed for $125.00.

In 1999, a 2-piece Locomotive Set, designed by the Swarovski Team was issued in the Crystal Memories / Journeys product line. It retailed for $125 and retired in 2002.

    These little train sets seemed to be very popular amongst Swarovski collectors, although I never really took to them.
