Swarovski, in its infinite wisdom, has gone and done it again! Changed all its Product Categories!
If you are a CFC Member, you already know that we were FIRST to bring this News to our CFC Members last October, and Reorganized our CFC Photo Galleries for 2013 to reflect Swarovski’s Change in their Product Lines at that time.
The famous trademarked Silver Crystal product line is Gone, now renamed “Crystal Nature”. Could this reflect the change in Swarovski’s new ‘Advanced Crystal’ formula ? where the product is now being manufactured practically lead-free? This has been a raging subject on our CFC website among collectors. Most of them are not happy about this critical change. Can it now even be considered ‘crystal’ ? (See our previous article)
The Paradise line is now ‘Mother Nature‘.
The Soulmates products are now ‘Contemporary Nature.’
The entire Lovlots line, Hello Kitty, the Mo’s, Emoti’s, Bo Bears & Happy Ducks now belong to the ‘Characters’ product line. Two additional lines have been added to this lot in 2013: the Lovlots Dinosaurs and Erika and Elliot.
A ‘Symbols‘ (no, it’s not related to the previous products with this product name) line has been created to include:
- Universal Symbols (formerly Crystal Moments/Memories)
- Seasonal Symbols (formerly Crystal Seasons)
- Asian Symbols for the Zodiacs
Supposedly, the NLE’s and the Crystal Myriad lines are now called “Swarovski Art.”
So we now have a new ‘crystal formula’ for the manufacturing process, being referred to by many collectors as ‘just glass’, and new product lines too!
