Max Schreck
Max Schreck was the first recognized Swarovski designer. Four crystal chandelier parts glued together create the first member of Swarovski’s full cut crystal animal menagerie: the tiny mouse, designed by Max Schreck.
Swarovski Silver Crystal is born!
Max also created the Annual Edition Lovebirds with the assistance of Adi Stocker. However, now Max is given full credit for designing the Lovebirds.
Sadly, Mr. Schreck passed away in 1997 and it is believed he never signed any of his creations.
His designed more than 80 pieces of crystal, including the paperweights, many candleholders, Treasure Boxes and so many of the animals! Most of Max’s designs, if not all, have been retired & are among the very favorites of Swarovski Collectors.
