Swarovski’s Kristallwelten (Crystal World) –  a bit of crystal-encrusted luxury?  You Bet!

Twenty minutes outside Innsbruck, amid the mountains of Tyrol, a  world of shimmering crystal awaits. Swarovski Crystal Worlds is an attraction unlike any other – and better than ever after its recent renovations.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds opened in 1995 to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary, designed by André Heller.  In its 20 years of existence, this unique destination has attracted more than 12 million visitors, constantly reinventing itself.

To celebrate its 120th birthday in 2015, the Tyrolean crystal maker ushered in a new era of wonder. The Chambers of Wonder exude a new brilliance; five of them have been completely redesigned and expanded outwards to include an open space of crystalline nature: the garden.  Swarovski spent $38 million revamping Kristallwelten, which includes a glassy four-story “playtower” from the Norwegian architecture firm Snohetta, new art exhibits, like Crystal Cloud, a suspended cumulous-shaped net studded with 800,000 crystals, and a subterranean retail space dripping in crystal !

Landscape artists Andy Cao and Xavier Perrot created the Crystal Cloud, a monumental installation comprising some 800,000 hand-mounted Swarovski crystals that drift above a black Mirror Pool.

Don’t miss the adjacent Swarovski Store. In its new form, the shopping landscape is among the largest Swarovski flagship stores worldwide.

The food at Daniels Café and Restaurant warrants a trip on its own & is accessible without an entrance ticket.

BOOKS ABOUT SWAROVSKI ? DID YOU KNOW ?

BOOKS ABOUT SWAROVSKI ?
DID YOU KNOW ?

I am often asked about the availability of books that are published containing information about Swarovski products.
And, there are books available. For example, Dean Genth’s ‘Collecting Swarovski’ and Vivienne Becker’s ‘The Magic of Crystal’ are among the most known books for Collectors.
Books, as you know, only have a capability for a certain # of pages with information & photographs before they become cumbersome, limiting their usefulness. Then, of course, there is a multitude of books available about Swarovski Jewelry & Beads.

However, there is ONE Source where you can view thousands and thousands of photographs filled with information about the multitude of Swarovski Crystal issued during the last several decades (yes, we have them all the way back to the early 70’s !)
The Crystal Fanatics Club (CFC) for Collectors of Swarovski Crystal is currently celebrating its 16th year on the net. Our CFC Photo Galleries currently contain more than 13,000 Photos; most of them depicting the many various product lines issued by Swarovski for Collectors. We even have a few 2016 New Issues posted on our Bulletin Board!
For a mere $29.95 yearly, you can have access to our FABULOUS CFC Photo Galleries, along with all the many benefits we offer our Members.

Swarovski Introduces Loyalty Program

Precision cut-crystal maker Swarovski is elevating the customer experience across channels with a new rewards mobile application, ensuring regular use with “Sparkly” rewards or “Sparklisms” that can be earned for a variety of activities and exchanged for prizes.

The Swarovski Rewards “Just Because” app synchronizes with the brand’s loyalty rewards programs.
The more consumers interact with the app, the more they “Sparkle” and the more rewards they accrue.

There are four stages of sparkling: Shimmer (up to 499 points), Shine (500 to 2499 points), Sparkle (2500 to 7499 points) and Swarovski Prestige (7500+ points). Each level bestows more substantial rewards.

Consumers can ascend the four stages by making in-store purchases with the app, attending Swarovski events and sharing content with friends.

Interested consumers can download the app either through the Apple Store or Google Play or by stopping in a Swarovski boutique to set up an account and get a loyalty card, which will keep track of all points earned.

As sparkling points are earned, consumers can track rewards on their app or view an email they will receive that enumerates perks.

Some rewards include unique deals at boutiques, member-only discounts, custom program content and notifications, gifts as a new level is reached and “surprise rewards.”

Ultimately, the app will allow the brand to collect valuable customer data throughout the purchase journey as consumers check-in to accrue points. Also, the app may raise loyalty among frequent users who regard sparkle points competitively or just appreciate the streamlined interaction.
