There is a lot of controversy surrounding the Masquerade Trilogy among Crystal Fanatics and Collectors of Swarovski Crystal. The Masquerade Trilogy is the first series of Annual Editions featuring human figurines.
A lot of Collectors dislike this series intensely, and it was a big flop for Swarovski. The recent secondary market values (and the frequency of listings) posted below certainly confirm their worth. Whenever someone asks me, how much is it worth? I always reply, “Whatever someone is willing to pay for it.”

Designed by Adi Stocker, Pierrot is the first issue of the Masquerade Trilogy. He measures 8 inches / 200mm high & weighs just a little over 2 pounds.  Laser Etched AS99, (the designer’s initials & year of issue), Pierrot was the first Annual Edition using color. Pierrot bears the Swan logo and retired in 1999. He retailed for $350 and you would be hard pressed to recoup your investment. Current values are in the $158 range but, unfortunately, you can get him (and a Lot More) for less!

In a few years time, these figures will soar in value! Remember the Duchess with Flowers in the Beswick Beatrix Potter series? They were so unpopular when produced but now over £1500! Looking for an investment? then you could do a lot worse than buying them at their current value.

I reckon I must be an odd person.
    I liked this trilogy.
It was a change something different.
At least Swarovski were not stuck in a rut with ideas, like they are now.
