The Swarovski Panthers and Wild Animal Issues

The Swarovski Panthers:

NEW! The Swarovski Soulmates Lime Panther NLE Launched on April 16, 2012 as the 3rd  online release in the Eclectic Panther Collection, limited to 888 pieces.  The other 2 Eclectic Panthers were identically designed Soulmate Panthers, (and there’s plenty of them in different colors) in Black and Orange Shine
. They retailed for $960, and like the Lime Panther, could only be purchased by SCS members online.  Our CFC Members have been pretty enthusiastic about these issues.

A  Soulmates Panther in Crystal Moroda reflects the Panther’s natural color (a metallic blue to warm bronze with brown-black tones) It measures 8 1/4 x 7 1/16 inches (21 x 18 cm) and comes with a cleaning kit and gloves, also retailing for $960, and currently availableUnlike the issues discussed above, it is not a limited online exclusive release.
A Soulmates Panther in fully faceted clear crystal with an unfaceted clear crystal tail was issued in 2007. It sold for $800 when first introduced, and rose in price to $860 until its retirement in 2011.

NEW! This month, Swarovski has issued a stunning Jaguar in crystal golden shadow, designed by Stefanie Nederegger.  The Jaguar is part of the Silver Crystal product line in the Rare Encounters theme group and features accents in Crystal Satin on a matte crystal base. It measures 6 9/16″ x 2.5″ (16.7 x 6.4 cm) and retails for $420.  This issue, likewise, has been enthusiastically welcomed by our CFC Members.

Other wild animal figurines have been produced by Swarovski:

Soulmates Golden Shadow Lion –  currently available & designed by Mario Dilitz also part of the Soulmates group.
(P.S. Don’t ever let this designer sign your piece, he hen scratches it, as one of our CFC members found out with utter disgust !)

The Soulmate Lion is the largest Swarovski piece to date created with this color effect, measuring 6 15/16 x 3 7/8 x 6 7/16 inches (17.6 x 9.8 x 16.3 cm). The Base is Mahogany.  It comes with a special black card, cleaning cloth, & gloves. The Swan logo is located on the back foot. It was issued in 2010 with a retail price of $960.

Silver Crystal Tiger –  A Faceted clear crystal Tiger with Light Topaz crystal eyes, part of the Endangered Species theme group, bearing the Swan Logo, and designed by Michael Stamey. It measures 5 1/2 X 2.5 inches / 138mm, issued in 1998 and retired in 2002. It originally retailed for $275. Its current value (CV) today is not much more than that.
Did You Know?
There is a ‘golden shadow’ Protoype of this issue that ‘left the factory’ out the back door.

Silver Crystal Leopard – Designed by Michael Stamey in the African Wildlife series, measuring 5 9/16 x 1 1/8 x 5 1/2 inches long.
It carries the Swan logo and was issued in 1997 & Retired in 2004. It retailed for $265, and like the tiger, its value is not much more today.

These items are a lot better than some of the rubbish stuff Swarovski has been turning out in recent years.

  3. Robert says:

I am very keen on the Soulmate Panthers,
BUT NOT THAT AWFUL LIME GREEN ONE!!!.
Come on Swarovski lets have the greatest Panther of them all,
    Included in the Soulmate series
The one and only PINK PANTHER.
